This Bulova LED Quartz watch was Bulova's last and therefore most highly evolved LED watch. The watch is well made, features a reliable Mostek module, a very bright and readable display, and displays an alphabetical day of the week. The case has a very pleasing retro style "TV" shape.
Probably the most unique aspect of this watch is that unlike most LED watches, it has a white transparent crystal rather than a red crystal. This enables it to have an attractive reflective face with an interesting red metallic pattern etched across the surface.
Since this LED quartz watch was produced towards the very end of the LED craze when prices on LED watches were dropping precipitously, it was made in Hong Kong rather than in the U.S. For this reason, it is not very highly prized by collectors, despite being quite a nice watch. Like most Bulova watches, it can be dated using the date code on the back which reads "N7" for 1977.
Case: Very good.
This watch is in very good condition with just the slightest scratches on the case and bracelet. The back of the watch is inscribed by the initals of the original owner, "MJL".
Face / Hands: Excellent.
All LED digits and segments are complete and bright and the reflective metallic red face is perfect. This model has exceptionally bright LED digits!
Crystal: Very good.
The acrylic watch crystal has a slight nick directly above the LED display which could probably be polished out and is otherwise smooth and scratch free.
Band / Bracelet: Very good.
The original bracelet has some minor scratches. By design, the bracelet is a bit stiff, which allows it to keep its shape well but makes the bracelet less comfortable than a softer bracelet would be. The bracelet will fit a large 8" wrist.
Function / Accuracy: Excellent.
All functions work perfectly. Digital quartz accuracy.
