This Bulova LED Quartz watch was Bulova's last and therefore most highly evolved LED watch. The watch is well made, features a reliable Mostek module, a very bright and readable display, and displays an alphabetical day of the week. The case has a very pleasing retro style "TV" shape.
Probably the most unique aspect of this watch is that unlike most LED watches, it has a white transparent crystal rather than a red crystal. This enables it to have an attractive reflective face with an interesting grey-brown metallic pattern etched across the surface.
Since this LED quartz watch was produced towards the very end of the LED craze when prices on LED watches were dropping precipitously, it was made in Hong Kong rather than in the U.S. For this reason, it is not very highly prized by collectors, despite being quite a nice watch. Like most Bulova watches, it can be dated using the date code on the back which reads "N7" for 1977.
This watch is in very good condition and includes the original box!
Case: Very good.
This watch is mirror smooth and shiny with just minor scratches visible on the mirror polished front bezel! Since the watch case is solid stainless steel, it can be refinished to polish out scratches without worrying about wearing through the plating.
Face / Hands: Excellent.
All LED digits and segments are complete and bright and the reflective metallic brown face is perfect. This model has exceptionally bright LED digits!
The acrylic crystal is smooth and free of scratches or scuffs.
Band / Bracelet: Very good.
The original bracelet has a few minor scratches. By design, the bracelet is a bit stiff, which allows it to keep its shape well but makes the bracelet less comfortable than a softer bracelet would be. The bracelet will fit a large 8" wrist.
Function / Accuracy: Excellent.
All functions work perfectly. Digital quartz accuracy.
